What to Expect at Your Child’s First Dental Visit
The first dental visit is a very exciting time for both parents and children! Dr. Mosley suggests that parents speak very positively about their first dental visit, talking about how Dr. Mosley will be counting their teeth and possibly taking “pictures.” Dr. Mosley recommends scheduling their first appointment around their second birthday unless you have any concerns prior to that age. The first appointment includes examination of teeth and gums, general cleaning, fluoride, and x-rays (if needed). Lastly, Dr. Mosley will discuss possible treatment plans or recommendations with both of you.
Dr. Mosley strives to make your dental visits a fun, positive experience, which leads to developing a good, healthy relationship. There is no doubt that your child will love going to a dentist after seeing her.
Dr. Mosley also offers stuffed animals for your child’s comfort level. We also cater to special needs children. Your child will be sent home with stickers and a toothbrush! Our family dental practice is open on Saturdays, so your child will not miss a day of school!
